The Atelier N°24 app for Android

Control your A24 radios on your Wi-Fi network, set up your devices over Bluetooth, operate your A24 lamps and call your A24 telephones from your Android tablet or phone.

The Android app is not distributed through the Play Store: it is reserved for people who own an Atelier N°24 piece. You install it directly from this page.

Installation

To protect your device, Android only allows apps from the Play Store by default. As ours isn’t there, two warnings will appear during installation. They are normal – here’s how to respond.

1. Download the file

Tap the button above. Your browser may ask you to confirm the download: accept.

2. Allow the installation

Open the downloaded file. Android shows: ‘For your security, your phone is not allowed to install unknown apps from this source.’

Tap Settings, turn on Allow from this source, then go back. This permission only applies to the browser you are using, and you can withdraw it afterwards.

3. Get past the Play Protect warning

Android then shows: ‘App not verified’ or ‘Play Protect doesn’t recognise this app’s developer’.

Tap More details, then Install anyway. This message simply means the app doesn’t come from the Play Store – it doesn’t indicate a problem with the app.

Before you start

  • Android 8.0 or later.
  • Bluetooth turned on, to set up a device or control a lamp.
  • A 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network shared by your Android device and your A24 radios. The radios don’t connect to 5 GHz networks; if your router broadcasts both under the same name, you may need to separate them during setup.
  • An Internet connection for A24 telephony and firmware updates.
  • Google Play services, if you use A24 telephony: they are needed to receive calls while the app is closed. They are present on almost all Android devices sold commercially.

You can try the app without any hardware using demo mode, in the settings.

Updates

Apps installed outside the Play Store don’t update themselves. When a new version is available, come back to this page and reinstall the app over the old one: your devices, spaces and settings are kept.

You never need to uninstall the previous version.
